The FK 82 X chair, designed by Preben Fabricius&Jorgen Kastholm, is a miniature lounge chair designed by two Danish designers. The elegant combination of chrome plated steel and leather made it one of the most beautiful chair designs of the late 1960s. The fk82 x chair is also very comfortable. Another typical feature of Fabricius and Kastholm is the leather armrest of the classic FK 82 designed by Lange Production.
Danish manufacturer Lange Production has the majority of Kastholm's designs authorized and exclusively produces this chair.
Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm met while studying in Copenhagen in the 1950s. A joint studio was established in 1962 and dissolved in 1970. However, in just 8 years, Fabricus and Kasholm designed a large amount of furniture, which was clearly influenced by Bauhaus and also by rational design in the 1950s and 1960s.
This is rare lounge chair in steel, black leather and arms wrapped with brown leather cord. Designed by Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm, FK82 / X-chair, 1968 for Kill Interional Germany. In good condition, signs of age and wear. Alfred Kill founded Kill International in mid-1900s, Germany and a partnership with designers Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm.
Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm partnered to create the FK 82 X-Chair in 1968. Made of chromed plated steel and aniline leather, the FK 82 X-Chair is a sophisticated lounge chair and a prime example of classic minimalist Danish design.
