This uniquely Danish high wing-back series is absolutely Mid Century Modern in design. The wing chair and sofa were created in 1951 and since have become the most sought after Hans J. Wegner upholstered series. Initially called the "AP-19", it quickly received its lasting names being the Papa Bear & Teddy Bear Series. This gift came from a critic who referred to its armrests as, "Great bear paws embracing you from behind".
